Top Tips For The Morning After

If in spite of your best intentions you end up drinking more than you should, there are a few things you can do to ease the morning after:

Drink as much water as you can before going to sleep, and put some beside the bed too.
A painkiller - soluble is best - helps with the headache

Take an antacid to settle your stomach

Alcohol is a depressant, so tea or coffee can perk you up (but it can dehydrate you, so keep up the water as well)

Drinking lowers your blood sugar level, so eat as soon as you can. Bananas, cereal, or egg on toast are all good morning-after snacks

Never ever do hair of the dog - you'll just prolong the agony

Have 48 hours off the booze if it was a heavy session

And next time, follow these top tips for a great night out and you won't suffer again

always keep a bunch of limes in your fridge. not only is this uber essential for all those cheeky coronas, but a glass of water with fresh lime just before you stumble to bed (or wherever your drunken shennanigans finds you). the acids in the lime will help settle the stomach meaning you can get straight back on it the next day.

Well if your ever sick the morn after then try this...1. pint of milk to re-line the stomach...2. plenty of toast to aborb any alcohol that could be left in there 3. Followed by a packet of jammy dodgers.. or a packet of custard creams.. Now you will be back in the game..no nonsense

A Banana milkshake is good for recovering.

Rich in potassium for the stomach, the milk and sugar provides energy and itll help to rehydrate.

Cheers for the advice, never tried taking antacid before as I was hesitant about taking pills with alcohol in my system. Heres my contribution to how to deal with it.

Plenty of water throughout the night.
Start the morning with something salty and sugary to get your help your hydration. Bacon roll and a sugary cup of coffee is usually your best bet, plus the roll absorbs some of the alcohol.
If you can get to a gym go to the sauna and sweat it out, I did this in Ibiza every morning after a heavy session and it totally works. Go after a shower of course and you'll never feel so refreshed!
